True love is unconditional and unwavering.
February 5, 2018
Just finished “Voice for Silent Voices” and also viewed this video of Drew. I got alot out of this book, especially the ceaseless love of a father, mother, grandparent, step parent…they all cared deeply about the welfare of Drew….one of the main characters. Who in time has matured and now recognizes how fortunate he is to have had so much love in his life from his family. Even from his dad, who is mostly a voice…Read More

Eddie truly has a way with words! I thoroughly enjoy reading his work and even learning the life lessons he share from his own experiences. I think there is something in his writings for everyone: every culture, every socioeconomic status, every gender, every age group, etc….

Sincere Real Life Story
August 30, 2016
I loved Eddie K. Wright’s sincere real life story of how he struggles with having a gay son. Eddie is very honest and holds nothing back on how he feels about Drew’s homosexuality. Yet when reading the story you never doubt Wright’s love for his son. This was an incredible read!

A parent’s love is unconditional.
July 26, 2016
Heart-wrenching at times, this is a brutally honest book. As a parent of two LGBT girls, I found it full of empathy, honesty and inspiration.

… of how a father cannot find his way to love his son for whom he is
June 28, 2016
The meat of the story of how a father cannot find his way to love his son for whom he is. Fighting to accept, support and honor the unconditional love a parent is to have for their child. The father himself is conflicted with his own way of life. He does not see his questionable life as “Gansta thug life” until he is once again sent to prison. This time will be his last time since it is for life. The prison way is revealing…Read More

A Must Read
June 17, 2016
I thoroughly enjoyed this poignant, heartfelt, real-life account of Eddie Wright’s struggle with having a gay son. The story is well told and what makes it intriguing is that he admits that he was a macho, true street gangster with a gangster mentality – making his dilemma even more of a challenge. In his book Voice for the Silent Fathers, Eddie was able to capture his raw emotions on paper. As I read I could feel his difficult…Read More
